Nikki Kirby

Nikki Kirby, Script Supervisor and Blogger

As a child, Nikki’s passion for the world of art and entertainment began when she first saw the movie Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back. The special effects, storyline, and characters fascinated and intrigued her curiosity and excitement for the entertainment world resulting in her creating stories and characters that captivated her friends’ imagination.

Her mother’s artistic hobby of painting drew her interest into the art world as she developed her drawing, painting, and talents. Nikki’s empirical knowledge and experience arise from traditional artistry that led into the realm of digital art. Being both creative and technical, digital art provided the opportunity to combine her technical computer skills with artistic expression.

As a Charlotte Television and Pop Culture Writer, Nikki combined her knowledge of entertainment and psychology to write articles for Examiner.com. She creates logos, graphic art, videos, and conducts video editing for a variety of clients. She is attending Full Sail University in the Entertainment Business Master’s of Science program. Her graduate project and blog, The Spilling Script, discusses her passion for television and film production.

Nikki met Joey Lamar, Western Heights creator, at Full Sail University. Lamar recruited Nikki as a staff writer for Western Heights. Soon after, she became the script supervisor, and created the Western Heights Back Stage Pass blog that allows her to share some behind-the-scenes tricks and secrets.
